Can i login in to clash of clan old account if its synced to my facebook account?

One of my friends lost his account as it was not synced in google or either in gamecenter but it was synced to facebook. So can he get the old account by connecting to facebook after re-installing the game and finishing the tutorials at the beginning . He did mention that "this fb account is already linked to another coc games. link it to ur current game instead?" This question appeared when he tried that. I told him say no and nothing happened . The old account didnt come back. Thank you and please help ASAP. :)
