MacBook Pro w/ Retina 15" on Yosemite 10.10.1 — OS X Mail Notifications

I'm wondering if there's anything I can do to keep receiving Mail notifications even whilst the app is quit. Just like how Messages notifications still come up even if the app is quit. Any help is appreciated.
