I can't get my clash of clans account back without ios 7

After restoring my iPod 4, I redownloaded clash of clans. I was signed in to game centre and ready to get my village back, but instead of asking me to load it, it said I need ios 7 to retrieve other villages from game centre. Is there anyway to get my base back on my iPod 4 without the ios 7 update? If so, how?
