I have a new IPhone 3G which is to be activated. I placed in a SIM card but it shows "No Service" everytime. But the SIM works fine in other mobile phones.
It has this screen and when I "slide to unlock" it gets into a screen for emergency calls. Even after placing a SIM I can get only these two screens with an only change as "No Service" in place of "No SIM". 
Can anyone please help in how to activate the phone?
