bug? scheduled remainder won't dismiss

when I put a scheduled remainder with a daily repeat mode, it won't dismiss.

it keeps on showing and just changes the date to the next day

is this a bug or a feature?

It promises that one can see who visits his profile in FB.

Does it work??? Or will the others see that I use it???

FileVault optimizing... 43 days remaining

my FileVault says that I have to wait for 43 days for it to finish optimizing something. As soon as I launch any application it stops working. So the only time that I can dedicate for the FileVault to finish optimizing is 8-12 hours of night which makes 43 days in reality 86 days. The readings are always jumping, one time you might see 3532 days remaining but never goes below 20 days.

Maybe someone has stumbled upon this problem previously?

How to remove passcode for Guided Access on iOS

iOS 8.1.3

How do I completely remove Guided Access passcode? What I want is that it enters and leaves just with the three clicks and nothing else.

But every time I activate it, it prompts me to set a passcode which I don't want. I also made the mistake of setting one, and now I can't get rid of it.

How to convert to millions in Mac:Numbers?

I understand in Microsoft Excel you would use the format string $#.##,," M"

so that

12,271,359 would appear as 12.27M

I am alittle confused with the Numbers app on Mac (the excel equivalent) and I do not have Excel on Mac.

ssh from mac to linux

I am still a beginner with using terminal. I am trying to ssh from my mac at home to a linux at my university. I am using VPN to connect to the network. When I ping the IP address of the computer I want to connect to it responds. I can connect when I am on campus, but not when I'm off. When I try ssh -v username@IP this is what I get:

Cannot connect to SSH server from Mac OSX

Whenever I try to connect to a remote server using SSH, I get an error "ssh: connect to host x.x.x.x port 22: Connection refused"

I didn't install a Firewall or something similar. I know for sure the server is online and my credentials are valid - I am able to connect to the server using my (Android) phone or other devices.

Is there any way that connections are blocked by the System? This also happens for some other applications on different ports and servers.

Do you have any ideas how I can troubleshoot the problem? I can browse the Internet without any problems, but SSH and some other applications can't connect to different servers with different ports, including a Usenet client.

Happens on a Macbook Pro Late 2011 using MacOSX Yosemite.
