I have the problem that some disks are instantly. The pattern seems to be that USB3 drives get to stay, but older drives are ejected.
- My USB3 external hard drives are fine
- My thumb drives are instantly ejected
- My Kindle is instantly ejected
- My iPod Nano is instantly ejected
I've tried creating a new user and connecting the devices when only logged on as this new user, but the drives are still instantly ejected.
I have tried the instantly ejected devices on another Mac and they work fine, so it is most likely my OS that is playing shenanigans.
Is there any way I can see which process sends an "eject" signal to the system?
