🌵 How do I get my s1300 scanner to show up in Yosemite Preview File > "Import from scanner" option?

I have a Fujitsu s1300, a macbook pro 15" w/ Yosemite latest & greatest, and a feeble heart.

Actually. My heart is quite good. However, my patience is running thin. I can scan using Fujitsu's suck software. But I can't using Preview.

But when I look at Preview > File > Import from Scanner, it's greyed out.

I've done all the things listed here.

And... there is paper in the loader. I'm connected directly to usb (no hub).

Any help gets you good vibes from 🌵 land (Arizona). 😁
