Swapping colors with a VGA connector/cable

The VGA connector appears to have discrete wires for specific colors: http://ift.tt/1cyVoYm

If I spliced 2 cables together (or made a specialized connector) but reversed all the Red/Blue wires respective to themselves (Pin 1/3 and 6/8), would the result actually swap the colors displayed on a monitor?

Also, do one of these connectors already exist?
