OS X Messages App Won't Go Online

I'm using Gmail and Google Apps on my OS X (10.10.2) Messages app. Sometimes when I open the Messages app, the Google accounts go online. Other times they will not.

I have tried to "Login" from the "Messages" menu and that sometimes works. I have also set my status to Available and that sometimes work.

But nothing I do works all the time. Currently, I cannot get any of the Google accounts to switch from "Offline" to online and available.

My internet connection is good (Verizon FIOS), I'm able to access Gmail and the chat window on the browser.

Just a very strange problem.
