DO I NEED A CREDIT CARD TO INSTALL FREE APPS IN MY MacBook Pro

I'm using MacBook pro My problem is Every time when i wanted to download an app its asking about my credit card information i used to have a credit card but i dont have it now I can't even download free apps please reply as early as possible this is very important
