"recovery system can't be created" Now the only option I have on start up is the "installer" which gives me this error

I was trying to reinstall OS X but during the installation I received an error asking me to restart and try again. It said that the recovery system can't be created. So when I try to get into the recovery partition, it is missing. The only option is the "installer" how do I get back recovery so I can install OS X?
