Macbook Pro, F2 key is not working

I have Macbook Pro (late 2011).

Just found that F2 key (increase brightness) is not working while F1 (decrease brightness) works well.

Though I can adjust brightness in Preference > Display settings, I would like to figure out what went wrong.

I don't know whether F2 key for other purposes works or not.
