How to start selection with only tap? In the regional screenshot function

I'm taking a screenshot with command + shift + 4

When I'm about to make a selection I had to use the left mouse click key in the touchpad.

I tried to make a single tap then drag but the selection function just ends. Is that impossible to do it?
