HDMI to Sat5 Help

I and sending a video signal to a switch box then to four different tv's using hdmi to cat5 extenders. All was working fine till we had a power serge or something and lost one of our extenders. I got new extender that is a different brand. It will transmit a signal straight from the computer but when plugged into the switch box the tv will not receive the signal. Is there something in the settings that can be changed? Do all extenders need to be the same brand? Please HELP!
