Can I still use my own apple ID with its aasociated credit card when I'm in a family sharing family?

I'm thinking of setting up family sharing for our family. We're all adults, so we buy apps for ourselves, but it would be nice if we could share the apps. Will I lose the ability to buy apps with my own Apple ID if I join my family?
