broken iPod with good clash of clans and i have a good iPod 6.1.6

I have a good clash of clans signed into my game center but then my iPod broke and won't turn on, I got a new iPod and it is iOS 6.1.6 and it says I need to do a software update to get the broken iPod's clash of clans account on to thee new iPod but when I go to settings it says the iPod is up to date. How do I get the account on to the fixed iPod?
